apple picking....

here are a few cards i made for a card olymics i'm participating in on one of the message boards i belong to. i had so much fun making this red, white and blue card. i used my cricut to make the layered flag and stars. It's hard to tell from the photo, that i used a glitter glazed pen on the stripes of the flag and to make stitch lines around the navy background. i will admit that the card is pretty heavy with all the layers so it will need some extra postage for mailing.

i can't believe it's june already! yeah...summer fun is about to begin. i plan on spending time exploring the island with ava and santana and getting some much needed relaxtion in by the shore. sounds like a great combination for new photos!
in the meantime here are two of my latest cards.
this graduation card was quick and easy, a little kraft cardstock, a border punch, butterflies, cut with my making memories slice, ribbon and some wonderful thickers.

i always find masculine cards to be a challenge. i found a good tutorial for this card and made it for my dad for his birthday. i plan on making a few more variations of it , for father's day cards.
Here is the link to the tutorial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=so6VmrBSFfY

these would be perfect cards to give teachers at the end of the school year as well!
we now have a lot of these running sround our house!

the title is created with white glitter thickers. i used white prima flowers, pearls and ribbon along the side of the photo. i stitched white ribbon through the holes made from the threading water punch across the bottom of the page. i stamped the journal block with a basic grey stamp and hand cut it, than attached it to the layout.

thanks for visiting!

this card is one of my favorites right now. i really am happy with the way it turned out.

thank you for stopping by.

sunrise, the morning after the snow storm...
and so the big dig-out began...
while Santana is learning to love the snow...
and georgia, well she has had enough. to quote her "no more snow mom".
