tag swap

this is the tag i made for a seasonal tag swap i did over on the scrapbuddies message board. my assignment was a father's day tag. i decide to make mine a generic masculine tag that could be used for father's day as well as any other time. i distressed the tag with tim holtz distress inks, stamped the images with T.H. stamps and cut the top not designs with my slice.

more cards

it's been a busy two weeks around our house. i think everyone has taken at least one turn at being sick..some of us have taken two turns. right now (fingers crossed) i think we can say that eveyone is just about finished with taking medications (except for santana's daily meds) and is feeling better.

over the last week i managed to make some cards that i thought i would share. i used kraft cardstock as a base, papertrey ink ink for inking the edges and i used my copics for the coloring. i'm having a lot of fun playing with my copics, even though i still have a lot to learn.

the colors in this card could be modifies to use as an easter or a spring card.

this card is one of my favorites right now. i really am happy with the way it turned out.

thank you for stopping by.

valentine's day 2010

i hope everyone had a very nice valentine's day. i made some cards that i tried some new techniques on.

i have decided that i love working with kraft cardstock as a base for cards. this is a simple card that i'm very happy with the results of.

the next two cards i made using my new copics, that i got with my christmas gift cards to my local scrapbook store, http://scrappersplayground.blogspot.com/

thanks for taking the time to stop by.

more snow....

i know i've been behind in keeping it my blog, but now it's time to play catch up.

snow, snow and more snow fell this month. we also had a very welcome snowday, the kind where everyone is home for the day! ava enjoyed telling us how much snow was falling and asking "when can we go outside grandma?" here are some photos from our February 10 storm...

sunrise, the morning after the snow storm...

it is pretty....
and so the big dig-out began...

two days later, after work we ventured out for more fun in the snow. by now i figured out there was so much snow that it wasn't going anywhere anytime soon.

ava just loves the snow...
while Santana is learning to love the snow...
and georgia, well she has had enough. to quote her "no more snow mom".
